Dear friends,
For our three-and-a-half-month book tour, we’ll drive, at a bare minimum, 8,650 miles. At $3.50 a gallon and 20 mpg (on a good day) in our baby beluga of an RV, that will cost us 1500 bucks in gas alone. Throw in Slurpees, coffee and ER visits to calm the nerves and intestines from too many Slurpees and too much coffee, and, well, pretty soon you’re talkin real money.
Which is why we’re asking for your support. With premiums ranging from a virtual pat on the back to a virtual double hand-clasp to, well, that’s about it, save for a your-name-here (or your cat’s name or Emma Goldman’s name, or you name it) mention in our blog and our true and sincere gratitude — we welcome any contribution. Whether you chip in $3.50 for a gallon of gas or 25 bucks to push us another 150 miles down the road, or $75 to fill ‘er up, any amount would be warmly received.
