Now that the author and family are off the road, our On the Road blog is taking a breather. More soonest…
A very moving, inspirational and well-written book. In 1974, when I was 19 years old, I was arrested for hitch-hiking in Salt Lake City, on my way from Oregon to Illinois, and spent the night in the county jail – ironically, after spending the previous night at a house in Murray. The next day, the judge sentenced me to “be out of Salt Lake City, without hitch-hiking, by sundown”, which I eagerly complied with. So, this book had a particular resonance with me. I highly recommend it.
